Jacksonville resident Dawn De Leon believes there are angels without wings and she has faith that there is one in the form of a kidney donor who can save her life.

“I have really strong faith and I feel someone is going to come forward and be a donor,” De Leon said.

De Leon, 51, was diagnosed with kidney disease 10 years ago due to extremely high blood pressure and is now in stage-4 kidney failure.

After years of the disease being in remission De Leon learned in August that her condition was declining and her kidneys are now functioning at about 15 percent. She was told then that she is in need of a kidney transplant.
