“The James D. Eason Transplant Institute at Methodist University Hospital has continued life-saving transplants throughout the coronavirus pandemic.

With the elective surgery ban lifted in Tennessee, patients waiting for certain types of organs can now receive transplants there, too.

But, the National Foundation for Transplants (NFT) — a Memphis-based nonprofit focused on transplant advocacy and patient support — has seen a significant drop in organ and financial donations nationally.”
