March 20, 2020

To Our Patients,

During this time of uncertainty, we want you to know you are not alone.

In the midst of an extremely unsettling time for our country and local communities as a result of the continued spread of the Coronavirus in the U.S., National Foundation for Transplants will transition to full remote status beginning Friday, March 20th.

Rest assured, you should see minimal disruption during the transition.  Our Patient Services team will continue to accept new patient applications.  Our Patient Advocate will remain accessible to answer any questions regarding reimbursements and to receive and review reimbursement requests. Our Patient Relations Manager will continue to write Press Releases and setup online webpages.

In addition to these continued support services, our Fundraising Consultants will remain available to offer fundraising expertise. We are currently exploring new and innovative fundraising ideas that can be facilitated online.  Keep watch for more information coming your way soon.

While we made every effort to minimize delays in processing, unfortunately we have limited access to our accounting system. As such, please allow 7-10 days for us to receive and process payments and transactions. This should not be an ongoing or prolonged experience. We expect to return to full or staggered work status April 1st pending the recommendation of the CDC and the Department of Health.

(Update:  NFT’s return to the office date has been extended as mandated by local and state governments.  The organization continues to work remotely at full capacity.)

We hope you and your family remain safe as you too navigate this tough time.  As always, we are with you every step of the way.

Thank you for your patience.
