An “in memory of” or memorial gift is a gift made after the passing of an individual to memorialize and honor their life. Many people donate to a charity in their loved one’s name or will ask that a gift be made in lieu of flowers.  National Foundation for Transplants honor gifts made in memory of a loved one.  Just follow the steps below to make a Memorial Gift.

Every day, National Foundation for Transplants helps to save lives by removing financial barriers that delay or prevent organ transplantation.   Your donation goes to support our Greatest Need fund and will be used to provide critical services and support to transplant patients:  providing housing, transportation, food, prescription drugs, and other transplant-related expenses.

Plaid is a payment service that allows the donor to cover their donation with a withdrawal from their checking account.  This form of paymet is known as Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT).

ACH transfers get their name from the Automated Clearing House network, which includes about 10,000 financial institutions. The ACH network can be used to process transactions such as direct debits, direct deposits, direct payments, electronic checks (eChecks) and electronic funds transfers (EFTs).

Donating stock (vs. cash) saves you a lot of money. When you donate stock, you avoid capital gains tax while earning a bigger tax deduction. The charitable organization also gets to keep more, meaning everybody wins.
