What is GivingTuesday?
GivingTuesday is a worldwide movement that reimagines a world built upon shared humanity and generosity. Their global network collaborates year-round to inspire generosity around the world, with a common mission to build a world where generosity is part of everyday life. November 30, 2021 is a designated day for GivingTuesday.
GivingTuesday fits perfectly with National Foundation for Transplants mission of removing financial barriers that prevent or delay a patient from receiving a transplant. We help level the field and make it possible for patients to receive a life-saving transplant, regardless of financial status. Our tools and consultants make it possible for family and friends to raise funds for the National Foundation for Transplants in honor of a specific patient.

Make an email appeal to family, friends, and supporters asking them to make a donation to the National Foundation for Transplants in honor of the patient campaign you support. Include one of the images below to customize your eblast to potential donors.
Don’t forget to include the link to the patient’s personal fundraising webpage in your eblast.

Where to get email addresses
Patients, or their authorized representatives, can download a list of previous donors by using the tools located at the patients personal fundraising page.
Amplify patient’s webpage on Facebook & Twitter using the hashtag #GivingTuesday
From the patient’s personal fundraising webpage, use the Facebook or Twitter share buttons–located beneath the “Donate” button–to post a link (and the patient’s photo) on social media. During the share process, be sure to type into the post the hashtag #GivingTuesday.
