PRESS RELEASE:

TEGNA in partnership with Vitalant and the National Foundation for Transplants sponsors Blood Drive

MEMPHIS, TN:  The “Give Blood, Share Joy” campaign has been developed by TEGNA Memphis in partnership with the Memphis offices of Vitalant and the National Foundation for Transplants to serve three (3) specific needs:

  1. Inspiring people to give blood while producing a safe and ready supply
  2. Raising money for transplant recipients to cover medical fees associated with a life-saving transplant
  3. Creating awareness with volunteer opportunities for Memphians to get involved with our community

December is a month that these needs are often overlooked during the hustle-and-bustle of the holidays. TEGNA Memphis wants to do their part to make sure there is not a huge drop-off in resources for their community and their partnering non-profits.

Vitalant will conduct four local blood drives on the following dates and times:

Kroger at Poplar Plaza

December 2nd – 3444 Plaza Avenue in Memphis from 8:30a.m. to 1:30p.m.

Compel Church in Olive Branch
