During a record-breaking year for transplants, National Foundation for Transplants has helped those who could not afford out-of-pocket expenses related to a transplant: hospital deposits, medical copays, travel, to and from transplant centers, lodging for overnight or extended stays, food, home health care, prescription drugs.
Our annual fundraising goals are established by the projected cost of patient needs. When patients contact our office, we work with their transplant center to assess their financial need. Volunteers, across the contry, help drive fundraising campaigns based on goals set for patient campaigns.
Campaign volunteers help raise funds used to meet patients’ medical needs. Covering the cost of deposits and surgery is just the beginning.

Too often, transplant patients face financial ruin juggling medical cost and their living expenses. To save money, some even attempt to stretch their medication by taking half the prescribed dose.
